Remove the exterior moldings, windows, door handles, wipers, license plates, front and tail lights, the grille and fender skirts. The car has to be totally stripped so that nothing falls off that can, for example, cause another vehicle to spin on it sending it into the air and hitting a spectator.

Reposition the battery inside the car. Use booster cables to lengthen the connection and anchor the battery into the car floor so that it doesn't move. Reposition the gas tank inside the car. It has to be attached solidly. Cut the exhaust system, make holes to chain the doors, the trunk and the hood to ensure everything stays shut in a collision.
